``…'a five minute presentation' in the form of a performance and or/performative/focus...In the case of your study visit I suggest a digital format articulation that summarises your creative response to the development of your research + written expansion of your aims and objectives. That is in terms of how you are developing the original brief for the trip that was accepted. Perhaps a rationalisation of how your central focus might change. This would be in its formative stages and Tutor response will then be sent on.``

Aims whilst in Nagoya:
-As there is surprisingly no wifi access at the Nagoya University Of Art I will change my first proposal of extending the `Online Narrative` shown at `Grammar, Nonsense and Imagination` exhibition at University of Brighton Gallery (http://lucindaabel.tumblr.com/#3355051770) to a more visual traditional fine art medium with the rationale that it is more common and understood here.
-I aim to with the resources in my department of MCD (Media Communications) create a creative response to my research of Japanese culture by creating a magazine and perhaps a zine encompassing the international students and perhaps others on our courses and present them in our exhibition through an installation using a concept that we were introduced to by a student called Taichou here of `freedom drawing`. I aim to bring together a collective of cultural exchanges, perhaps a `movement` or `-ism` and communicate them to a wide audience. I aim to feature a part of my dissertation in this publication and perhaps present it as a catalogue of the exhibition.
- Us three Brighton students have been given a medium sized room to present our work of printmaking (Millie Popovic), 3-d design (Shelly Stansfield) and performance and visual art work by myself so i have rationalized that i will  develop my original brief of including a community arts engaged activity to a more complementary, less evasive visual form.

Objectives whilst in Nagoya:
-I will learn the ways of Book Arts and Magazine Communications using Indesign software to create a series of layouts and drawings, which is something I have been wanting to explore for a while.
-I will use personal stimulus from my daily video diary I have started, photographs, observations, experiences and objects I am collating.
- On 21st July 2011 us international students are hopefully organizing art workshops for a local elementary school which will perhaps involve each of our disciplines like printmaking, so perhaps mono-printing, 3-d design so perhaps making a product out of new and raw materials and painting as another student is in the oil painting department. I am not sure yet what activity i will run but i will use my experience of community arts practice in schools to create something.(http://lucindaabel.tumblr.com/#2719179590)
- Draft my dissertation proposal on `The Empowering and Energizing effects of Community Arts Practice using Performance and Visual Art` for 17th May.

``…What I have in mind to research and explore during the short period of time before summer break. Ideas you would like to focus on and do for your final independent project.``
-I want to research Japanese culture and traditions and focus on the viewpoint of internationals as I feel this is of interest to most people. I would like to on my return to the UK, either in Brighton or Norfolk, or both, create another exhibition and event of our works we created in Japan, share Japanese arts and crafts activities, foods and present films, photographs and talks on our experiences and perhaps a performance. Perhaps if it is in September 2011, the exchange students from Nagoya University in Japan will want to present something.
- I am hoping through this process of documentation using a blog and my experience in Japan I will find a performative subject and form that I can use to create my final degree show next year...
